Compressor burnout protection, when a refrigeration compressor shuts down or enters a long-off cycle, liquid refrigerant migrates into its crankcase oil. Lubrication decreases and crankcase burnout can occur when operation resumes. Energy efficient, self-regulating design automatically varies output to maintain adequate oil temperature while permitting wrapping and crossover without burnout. Handles compressors up to 5 hp, 120 or 240 V applications. Fits all crankcases with circumferences smaller than 49 in.
