The Kidde® i9050 basic, battery operated smoke alarm provides you and your family an early warning signal against the dangers of fire and smoke. This easy to install smoke alarm includes a test button to verify the units electronic circuitry, horn and battery function are work properly. The i9050 also includes a tamper resist feature to help deter theft or tampering. This smoke alarm is powered by a 9 V battery and is suitable for all living areas. This alarm uses ionization sensing technology. Ionization sensing alarms may detect invisible fire particles (associated with flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms. Photoelectric sensing alarms may detect visible particles (associated with smoldering fires) sooner than ionization alarms. Kidde® strongly recommends that both ionization and photoelectric smoke alarms be installed to help insure maximum detection of the various types of fire that can occur within the home.
